I snapped this photo reference last month when I visited Marquette Park in Miller.
Lake Michigan has wreaked havoc upon the beaches of Northwest Indiana and carved cliffs out of the dunes that line those beaches. Heartbreaking for long time beachgoers – how can you go to the beach when there is none? Hopefully we’ll get a large ice shelf this winter that will protect the dunes.
I found an old Pigma Calligrapher 1.0 pen to use here. Nice little wide tip that gave a heavy line when used flat or a thin one when I drew with the corner. It was pretty spent, so I’ll sadly have to circular file it.
