INKTOBER 2020 DAY 21

Little late to the party tonight. Today was watercolor teaching day, so this one had to wait until I got home.

This is what lies at the end of the path in Fedder’s Alley here in Michigan City. I really like the shadows cast by the early fall marram grass, which has gone to seed in spots.

I did this with two pens, that trusty Pentel Brush Pen and a .02 Micron. I couldn’t get a fine enough line with the brush pen to do the faraway grass, so I used the .02 for that and also the shadows.
I seriously channeled some Jesse Marsh for the negative drawing of the grass (that comment will only be understood by a handful of folks, but hey…)

I’ve got a Pandemic Painting about ready, but in the words of my amigo Rick McCollum, the studio is closed for the night.
And in the words of my late friend Al Baker, Love and Kayaks to you all
