INKTOBER 2020 DAY 26

I did this ink drawing directly from an on-site pencil sketch I did over at Mount Baldy, part of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Park. It’s pretty cool to actually have a part of a National Park within the Michigan City city limits.

Anyway, when I say I inked directly, I had the pencil sketch which I really liked and decided not to wreck it with ink, so I put it on my light box and inked blank paper put over the top of the pencil sketch. (This is how a lot of comic book inking is done these days, when traditional inking tools – non-digital – are used.).

A Tombow Calligraphy Brush Pen with a soft plastic tip did the damage here. If you look at it another way, there could be a sea monster rising off the ocean floor. But that’s just me.
