Pandemic Painting 75

Just finished up Pandemic Painting #75.
I keep waiting for the day when it WON’T be a “pandemic” painting but it seems that I’m going to have to. Sigh.

Anyway, this is a scene from my visit to the Kuerner Farm four years ago. Walking down the tractor path on one side of the barn, I snapped a photo of the paint encrusted windows. For those of you familiar with Andrew Wyeth’s work, on the other side of these windows is the water trough seen in his painting “Spring Fed”.

This one is totally Winsor & Newton watercolors on Arches 300# hot press paper. I did a very detailed pencil drawing and followed it absolutely, although I did mess around with some of the colors. I found a nifty little #00 (shout out to artist pal Rick McCollum!) Winsor & Newton Series 7 brush in my brush jar and I put it to work pulling tiny thin lines.
10.25″ x 13.75″ finishes the nuts and bolts category.

Hope you all are safe and well.
