I found this small drawing in an old folder and had gotten it out to paint as a watercolor, as it was done in pencil. But I decided to lightly ink it prior to applying watercolor, which I will do later. It has an unfinished look about it, as intended, but it’s good to go for Inktober.
The scene is from the observation deck above the falls at McCormick’s Creek. I believe I did this sketch many years ago.
So while recycling drawings might be a theme today, my choice of drawing pens is brand new. I picked up a fistful of new pens today and the one I used is a Faber Castell Pitt Artist fude nib hard. Dierk Guenther – is “fude” a Japanese word like I suspect?
Anyway, it is a right dandy drawing pen and while I’ll never give up my Microns, this baby is going in the rotation.
Hope y’all are having a good rotation. Happy weekend!
