Inktober Day 28.
With this being Halloween weekend, these next four will have some kind of Halloween theme.
Robert E. Howard was a writer for pulp magazines back in the 1920’s & 30’s. By combining a horror element with an adventure story set in a time before recorded history and adding elements of the fantastical, he created what was to become known as the Sword & Sorcery genre of literature.
My drawing tonight shows a quote from a story that I think truly shows some of the best of his horror and adventure writing. The imagery of this passage has always scared the bejeezus out of me. So, Happy Halloween!
I did this with my bowl-nibbed dip pen and the black passes were made by turning the pen on its side and dragging the shapes out of it.
Hope you all can drag yourselves to a good weekend!
