
In the grand scheme of things, it’s not that big of a deal to get a drawing done and posted before noon. But in these days of chaos, any small accomplishment will do. At least for me.
Anyway, this scene is from last June when I paid my respects to my Mom on her birthday. The cemetery was doing some maintenance and this sliced up tree was nearby. I actually did a quick pencil sketch in the moment and I used it along with a photo for reference here.
I used that nifty Pentel STYLO plastic point/flexible nib drawing pen for this. There are times when it almost feels like a brush point – I think I’ll be using this more.
