It’s Monday, so it must be time for Pandemic Painting #15! I was busy over the weekend, working on two paintings at once, of which this is the first. A couple of years ago I went on a group walk of the dunes over at West Beach, now part of the Indiana Dunes National Park. We got to hike in areas that normally are off limits, so I took a pile of photos. Fun Fact: West Beach is directly across County Line Road in Miller where I lived as a kid! My old stomping grounds – the entrance is maybe a kilometre from the house I lived in. Winsor & Newton professional watercolors on 140# hot press Arches paper. I pretended to be Andrew Wyeth on this one – I did a detailed preliminary pencil drawing in my sketchbook first. I’m starting to really get into this Artist in Residence thing.
