Tonight’s painting comes per a request from my artist friend Betty Thomas. At our Michigan City Art League BoD meeting yesterday, she said I should do a wavy beach scene.
I’ve had some success with doing such a landscape very quickly, so I tried to do it in 10 minutes. Ended up being 20. Using white gouache helped very much.
This was done on some Canson watercolor board, pulled from the archives. It’s hot press watercolor paper laminated to a sturdy cardboard, so there’s no buckling or warping. 6.25″ x 9.25″, done with Winsor & Newton Watercolours.
