Well, with summer (and beyond, probably) pretty much cancelled (no Howard Days, now no Gen Con) I had better ramp up my Artist in Residence career. Gee, what torture…
Here’s Pandemic Painting #16. Taken from a photo from that dunes walk I just yakked about. Needed to do something a little more chaotic to clear the details out of my brush, so I had fun with this one. The shadows kind of hold it all together – there was much brush-slinging involved here.
Again with the Winsor & Newtons but on nice 140# cold press Arches. I did the drawing with a water soluble graphite pencil and it gave me a little bit of grey wash to tone down parts of this one.
