I’m using Pandemic Painting #106, a late summer piece, to combat the blowing snow outside my window, here in the frozen dunes of NW Indiana. Ymir be damned!
It took until 2022 for Mother Nature to act accordingly to the time of year around here. While not exactly snow-bound, January provides me with some indoor time to warm my frozen fingers by slinging some hot paint! I’ve got another painting about half done and more in the works. As long as the coffee and/or hot chocolate holds out, I’ll get some painting done.
This particular scene is from a photo I took over at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Park. Done with Winsor & Newton watercolour with some strokes of gouache on 140# Arches hot press (I think…) it comes in at 11″ x 15″.
Gonna get right back to brushing color on paper. Hope your activities are as enjoyable.
