Pandemic Painting #104

After a whirlwind couple of days, here we go with Pandemic Painting #104
Cheryl and I spent a couple of days visiting with family for Christmas and had a most excellent time. And Santa brought me a #5 Windsor & Newton Series 7 round sable brush, so score!

This one here is one of those that turned out “kinda-sorta” like I wanted and definitely looks better in person. I was going for a wind-driven snowy effect and did some experimenting. It’s good enough to show here, but I might try it again. It’s a scene from a photo I took in SW Ohio when we were on a D&D weekend trip.

I may try taking photos of my paintings with my little point ‘n’ shoot digital camera as well; I think I need Cheryl to adjust the camera on my phone. Eh, whatever.
9.5″ by 11.75″ with Winsor & Newton watercolour on Strathmore 5-ply heavy illustration board with a hot press finish. Gonna try another painting on this surface but I fear it’s a little too slippery for me. (There: everything you need to know about my opinion on surfaces).

I will ramble further by saying hope y’alls’ Christmas was good and Happy New Year!
