Spent yesterday and today goofing around and up pops Pandemic Painting #105!
I was working on this and another painting (which may end up as a total gouache effort because I’m not like the watercolor) plus doing some intense drawing. My process on this one was mostly abstract shapes turned into something recognizable.
The real recognized image here is from my friend Flash Jervis, who titled this photo Iron Age Hill. He took it from his daily train between Salisbury and London and it obviously made an impression on me!
This is a smallish work, coming in at 8.5″ by 11.5″, done mostly with Winsor & Newton watercolor (shout out to Sennelier Green Umber) on on a 300# Arches cold press block.
Well, the sun has poked out here, so Cheryl and I are off for a drive. Stay safe, Y’all.
