Got my mojo working on this one.
This scene came to me via a Michigan City Facebook page and I thought it looked painterly enough, so I got permission to use it as a reference. It shows the South Shore Railroad stop on 11th Street in Michigan City way back in 1955.
I did a very detailed drawing in pencil and then just colored it with watercolors. There is a bit of Prismacolor black pencil, Micron .003 pen and a Gelly Roll .08 white added to enhance some details.
Turned out all right. 8.25″ x 13″, Winsor & Newton watercolours on Arches 140# hot press paper.
