Here’s a painting that took a little over two hours to complete, which is what I intended to do. Sometimes it’s good to have a plan!
9.5″ x 13.5″, Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolours on Arches 140# cold press paper. I did a lot of this with my Winsor & Newton Series 7 No. 5 brush, which is about as good as brushes get.

This is from a photo I took of the famous Mt. Baldy here in Michigan City. I’ve mentioned this unique phenomenon before, how Mt. Baldy is a “living dune”, slowly creeping southward from Lake Michigan. As part of the Indiana Dunes National Park, it is now protected land, so nobody can mess with it. Eventually it will cover the parking lot and threaten nearby U.S. Highway 12 – maybe the great-great-great-great-great grandchildren of anyone reading this will be around to see that!

God speed Mother Nature.
