Well, I’m on a dunes painting kick, so I won’t fight the feeling.
Here lately I’m finding that I’m relying on “made up” scenes that come in part from a reference scene and in part from my memory.
I think this would include me trying small bits of different techniques, coupled with my emotions, to make a scene work.
This one depicts a dunes at twilight scene with a controlled sky, some detail and swishy-swashy sand. Done with Winsor & Newton watercolour on that Canson Watercolor Board cold press surface, 8″ x 11″. This is the last one of these boards that I have, so you won’t hear me complaining any more. But for the record, this one worked out better.
Hope everything for you is working out better, too. My pal Rusty is showing significant improvement, eventually we won’t be frozen here in NW Indiana and I’ll make some more art. WIN WIN!
