I’m still in the mindset of doing both quick and detailed watercolors and I’m finding cranking out a 30-45 minute piece helps me appreciate a detailed painting a bit more. Hey, don’t fight the feeling…
This one actually took around 45 minutes, another version of one painted several years ago. I laid the color in very quickly (did the sky in one pass) and then scraped the grass blades out of the wet, pigmented paint. I think this one will suffice.

10″x 13″ on Arches 140# cold press paper, done with Winsor & Newton watercolours scraped by a pocket knife.
