Now we’re talkin’.
I spent some extra time on this one and I’m happy to say it paid off. Very pleased with this one.
The scene is from the yard of the Kuerner farm in Chadd’s Ford, Pennsylvania, the photo taken on a trip to Andrew Wyeth Land a few years ago. Wyeth made thousands of images of this farm, just over the hill from his studio.
I think the 140# Arches hot press paper I used enabled me to use a drybrush technique effectively with this one, which is 6.25″ x 9.5″. A familiarity with my Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolours was a factor, as well.
