I’m finding that doing a watercolor a day for the last 3 weeks has given me a sense of accomplishment (obviously) and also the good feeling of getting my mojo back. I’m hoping this translates onto some drawing projects and some family project stuff too.
I’ve been feeling better as well; I’m letting July be a healing month, so we haven’t scheduled much in the way of activities.
Anyway, I got lazy tonight and did a painting that I’ve done before several times. There’s a comfort about a familiar scene and an artistic part, too, that won’t allow me to paint the same scene in exactly the same way as before.
Same ol’ same ol’: 6.25″ x 10.25″, Winsor & Newton on Arches 140# hot press. I did this with straight-to-paint, no drawing guidelines.
The cool breeze coming in here tonight in NW Indiana has knocked down the Canadian smoke. Hope your evening is as good!
