A lazy Sunday brings us to Pandemic Painting #98. Oooo…can’t you just feel the anticipation as we inch towards #100?
Anyway, this painting came to me compliments of a photo taken by my lifelong friend and fellow William A. Wirt High School classmate Roz Pachter. Vibrant asters and an even more vibrant monarch butterfly compelled me to a liberal application of Winsor & Newton watercolor to a 10″ x 14″ piece of 300# Arches hot pressed paper.
And wonder of wonders, I sold this piece yesterday at the Merry Christmas Market, along with two others. Like I’ve been saying, selling paintings is really not what I’m about, but as the J. Geils Band says in Gimme Money, “if the dollar bills are crisp”…
