Another gloomy, rainy day provided a good opportunity to finish Pandemic Painting #92.
The photo referenced is from my Beverly Shores photo collection and I introduced the ever popular monarch butterflies from other photos that I have. The dunes, milkweed and monarchs are among my favorite things to paint.
If I wanted to get commercial with these paintings (and I may eventually), I’d probably put a monarch butterfly in every one!
I will be doing a 2022 calendar of my paintings soon, just so y’all know. The response to Pandemic Paintings has been greater than I hoped, so 13 of these works will go into a calendar. Stay tuned for further information.
The nuts and bolts of this are: Winsor & Newton watercolour AND gouache, Arches 300# hot press at 9.5″ x 12.5″.
